PGA Championship prize money 2025: How much Scottie Scheffler, others won
PGA Championship prize money: Check out how much Scottie Scheffler won for winning his third major title at Quail Hollow Club in North Carolina.
A visibly emotional Scottie Scheffler stormed to his maiden PGA Championship title.
Scheffler went round Quail Hollow Club in North Carolina in level par 71 on Sunday.
It ensured a winning margin of five strokes over LIV Golf recruit Bryson DeChambeau, former U.S. Ryder Cupper Harris English and Davis Riley.
Scheffler began the day with a two-stroke lead and it was predicted the 28-year-old would canter to his third major championship title.
But a rocky front nine allowed the aforementioned DeChambeau and Jon Rahm into the picture.
Rahm hit a flurry of birdies as he made the turn but came unstuck in dramatic fashion over the final three holes.
He later admitted he was embarrassed with his display.
DeChambeau battled hard but simply ran out of holes.
Scheffler then closed the door with back-to-back birdies at the 14th and 15th to take a comfortable lead with three holes to play.
As well as the Wanamaker Trophy, Scheffler also grabbed his fair share of prize money.
The PGA of America confirmed over the weekend the purse for the 2025 edition of the major was $19.5m.
It represented an increase of $500,000.
That means Scheffler walked away with a cheque for $3.42m.
