An emotional Connor Syme captured his first career title on the DP World Tour with a two-shot victory at the KLM Open in the Netherlands.
Syme, 29, closed with a solid 1-under 70 in wet and blustery conditions on The International Course in Amsterdam.
The Scot finished the week on 11-under par and two strokes clear of his final-round playing partner Joakim Lagergren of Sweden.
It marked a first win on the DP World Tour for Syme in more than 180 starts on the circuit.
Lagergren tried his best to hunt Syme down but he could never pull within a shot of him all day.
Syme produced another ball striking clinic and made birdies on the 2nd and 13th to build a three-shot cushion atop the leaderboard.
He gave a shot back at the 13th to keep things interesting but Lagergren made Syme's job easier with bogeys on the 15th and 17th.
Syme was afforded the luxury of a four-shot lead down the par-5 18th as he strolled to a first title on the DP World Tour.
Lagergren hit a stunning 3-wood over the water to 12 feet on 18 but it was too little too late for the Swede who had to settle for solo second.
He drained the eagle putt to finish 9-under par and then left the stage clear for Syme, who two-putted from the front edge of the green for par.
An emotional Syme was greeted on the green by his wife Alanis and fellow DP World Tour players Richard Mansell, Ewen Ferguson and Calum Hill.
Syme pocketed a cool $467,500 for his first win on the former European Tour.
His only previous victory as a pro came on the lower-tier Challenge Tour at the Turkish Airlines Challenge in April 2019.
"Unbelievable," said Syme with tears in his eyes after holing the winning putt.
"It was so, so difficult the last few days.
"I just felt so much better this week, I felt really ready to do it, and I'm so, so happy I managed to do it."
Syme's fellow Scot Richie Ramsay was grilled by Sky Sports Golf commentators Mark Roe and David Howell during the final round.
That was after Ramsay chunked a chip shot into a bunker that both considered he should have done a better job with.
Ramsay closed with a 1-over 72 but still managed to finish in the top five on 3-under par.
